Product reviews: Max Factor Xperience collection + Lipfinity Lip Tint
Tuesday, February 15th, 2011Finally the day has come! Tomorrow, the new range of make-up products by Max Factor will be available! I’ve been trying those products for a few weeks now, these are my thoughts:
* Max Factor Xperience collection:
Max Factor isn’t the only brand that follows the eco-trend: Nivea for example, recently launched a whole range of natural & eco-friendly products. Of course this trend is mostly invented by the marketing-people to sell more products, but who cares: the higher amount of natural ingrediënts in these products will also benefit our skin!
First I tried the Max Factor Sheer Gloss Balm, and I am completely addicted to it now. It is in fact a lipbalm, it contains shea butter to make your lips really soft, but at the same time it’s a lipgloss! On top of that, it gives your lips a little (sheer) colour!! I use the colour ‘Amber’ àll the time, I take it with me in my purse ;-). It’s quite orange, but the colour is very transparant when you put it on.
Another favourite of mine is the Max Factor Xperience Weithless Foundation. This is the ideal foundation if you don’t like to wear any. You can’t even feel it on your skin! The product just gives a light coverage of the skin imperfections. But if you have a lot of spots, you will need an additional concealer to cover them.
The new mascara in this range (MF Xperience Volumising Mascara) is a nice product, with a good brush to avoid clumps.
MF Xperience Sheer Gloss Balm, available (in 5 shades) at Kruidvat, €10,99
MF Xperience Volumising Mascara, available at Kruidvat, €16,99
MF Xperience Weithless Foundation, available (in 5 shades) at Kruidvat, €16,99
* Max Factor Lipfinity Lip Tint:
I’ve been a fan of lipstains for quite a while now. On my wedding last year, I used a lipstain because I wanted my lipcolour to stay on all day, and it did!
This new Max Factor lipstain comes in beautiful colours. It is a nice way to colour your lips if you don’t like the feeling of a creamy lipstick. The colour permeates the upper layers of your lips, and after drying, you can drink, kiss,… without staining your napkin or your boyfriend’s lips!
And I actually like the taste of this lip tint. (In the past I’ve tried some other lipstains that tasted horrible…)
MF Lipfinity Lip Tint, available (in 8 shades) at Kruidvat, €11,99
These products are in stores as of tomorrow, so go get ‘em tigers!!
